Is the TV constantly on in your home? When you are alone, does your phone get your attention? If I asked you to look in your phone settings at screen time, what is your daily average? According to recent data, the average person spends around 2 hours and 23 minutes on social media daily. What would you do with an extra 2 hours and 23 minutes a day? I think we can all agree we can be better stewards of our time, amen. A few time-blocking hints. Set a do not disturb schedule on your phone and choose which notifications come through. Most phones have a downtime selection; limit applications and notifications. Block out particular times of the day to answer emails, and the big one: those activities that move the needle towards your dreams. For me, it's writing. Getting ready for your day, the coffee is dripping. You feed the dog, pop a piece of bread into the toaster, grab the honey from the cabinet, place your favorite coffee mug on the counter, and set out a small saucer for your toast and fruit. The flow and multitasking are well-timed and impressive. The toast pops, fragrant and inviting. With the toast knife in hand, you lift the lid of the butter dish, reaching for a perfect, fresh, creamy butter, and somebody has left their food dirt on the butter — gross! How could they be so messy and unsanitary? Now you have to clean off the butter, your toast is getting cold. How selfish and thoughtless! So gross, that just drives me nuts. What is our perspective on the small things, irritating things that insensitive others in the house do when you are in a hurry? To clean it for the next person ready to butter up, on our perspective, we explored the butter stuck on food crumbs from a different perspective and allowed grace and gratitude. How are you doing today? Let me share my morning with you. I was getting ready to record this episode. It had a totally different subject matter. I built the show, made the graphics, and I was struggling to feel the heart, to feel the connection between the Lord and I and you and our conversation today. It's a good word. That is a very good word, but it didn't feel like the word for us today. I'll ask you a question. What is the word for you today? What do you need to hear from the Lord today? Back to my morning. Here I am. I'm in the kitchen. I'm getting ready for the day. The coffee is dripping. I'm feeding – I pop a piece of bread into the toaster, and I grab the honey from the cabinet. I made Don's coffee in his to-go container. I grabbed my favourite coffee mug. It's sitting on the counter, and I set out a small saucer for toast and fruit. My flow and multitasking, it's timed and impressive. I'm getting it down. We're gonna get there, get the podcast done for the day, and the toast pops up, fragrant and inviting. I hurry while the toast is hot. I have my knife in hand and the lid on the butter dish, so I lift it up and reach for that perfect pad of fresh, creamy butter. I am the one who messed up this morning. It was my night. There was a bunch of string in Don's coffee, and when I set it on the saucer, yuck, so I was the guilty party. I smashed the butter. It's totally in our lives, defamed the butter. What is our perspective of the small things, the irritating things, and sensitive of others in the things I have lived with? At the same time, I have seen some insensitivity. Maybe you're the one that when you were in a hurry, did you clean it up for the next person? Are you ready for metaphorical perspectives? And we're gonna have a jolly laugh too. Thank you so much. I've observed that this dedication isn't prevalent everywhere, but you exemplify it. I celebrate your efforts and encourage you to keep pushing forward—amen to that!  Today, we’re embarking on a journey through Luke 24. You might be familiar with the passage about the road to Emmaus, but let me set the stage for you. Jesus has just been crucified, and Mary has discovered the empty tomb. In this moment, Jesus has his first resurrected conversation with her, and she rushes off to share the news with the disciples. As we move forward, I want to infuse a lighthearted metaphor involving a butter dish to delve into the heart of today’s message. Remember, He speaks to us today, and I’ve been waiting for His guidance for both you and me. Jesus will breathe life into our discussion, allowing us to appreciate the richness we already possess. So, grab your cup of coffee, hold onto that steering wheel, or slow your walking pace and take a breath. We’re going to share a meal with the Master today. The butter dish serves as a metaphor—allow the Lord to reveal its significance and apply it to your own life. Let’s think about how we sometimes find ourselves caught up in the remnants of someone else’s mess, much like butter smeared with crumbs. In Luke 24, we witness two disciples walking just eight miles from Jerusalem, deeply engaged in a profound discussion as they try to make sense of the extraordinary events they’ve just experienced. They’re sifting through the leftover "crumbs" of their memories from a shocking week, seeking clarity amid their confusion. Suddenly, Jesus joins them as an unexpected guest at the table, yet their eyes remain clouded with disbelief, preventing them from recognizing Him. Imagine if you found the butter smeared with someone else's leftovers; how would you respond if Jesus asked you why you were so troubled? The exchange of words can feel as futile as trying to brush crumbs off butter. Are you listening? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your daily challenges, only to find yourself unraveling? One of the disciples questions Jesus, asking, "Are you the only one unaware of what’s happened in Jerusalem?" It’s as if he’s saying, “Haven’t you seen the chaos we’re trying to navigate?” You might be thinking, “Haven’t you noticed the mess I’ve been dealing with?” Are you aware of the struggles at hand?  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and vision for tomorrow. And here's the heart of it: the disciples reclined at the table. Jesus blessed and broke the bread. Their eyes suddenly opened in that simple act. The crumbs of confusion cleared away, and they recognized him. They recognized him. Just as quickly as the crumbs disappeared, so did he from their sight. In our own lives, we often find ourselves lost in the details, missing the larger picture. Thank God for the individuals in our lives, even though they may drive us nuts. The ability to experience life as a gift liberates us from the prison of self-preoccupation. Gratitude is the ability to see life as a gift. Can you imagine sharing butter with anyone, nobody there to sleep behind, a bit of dirt, no messy clothes, the toilet seat never left up? Or are we too controlling to allow lovelies to move into a world we want to control? Relationships are difficult; relationships take great maintenance of self, of me, myself, and I. Open the door of gratitude. Allow God to toast your communion and break bread and laughter. Laugh at life's little messes, but don't keep them out. It is in these moments of breaking bread, of sharing life with other people, reflecting and understanding, that clarity often comes. So next time you find yourself sifting through life's crumbs and cleaning up the butter, remember sometimes the answers are right there waiting to be revealed. Look around you again. Look at the plate before you. Look at it. We have cars and jobs and charity shops filled with good deals, hot showers, family love, family to drive you nuts. We have holidays. We can read and write. We can go for a walk. Look at the season changing around us. We have children and grandchildren. We can go to church. We can vote. We can have an argument with our spouse. We have bank accounts, insurance policies. We can call our mom. We have friends to share a meal with. We can buy and read a book. We can send a card, help a friend. We have the Internet and headphones and can listen to a podcast recorded in Corvallis, Oregon. We can google any question and have 10,000 answers in a heartbeat. We woke up today with breath in our lungs. Scripture TreasuresLater that same day, two of the disciples were walking to Emmaus about 8 miles from Jerusalem. They were in deep discussion about all the things they had witnessed. In the middle of their debating, groping for answers, Jesus joined them on their journey. Yet their eyes were veiled and they did not recognize him. Why are you so perplexed? You're throwing words at one another, and judging by your gloomy faces it's obviously not helping. One of them, Cleopas, answered him, Are you living in isolation, not knowing what has taken place right here in Jerusalem over the past few days. Jesus replied, So, what exactly happened? They both answered, The man Jesus of Nazareth was a prophet who was known for his mighty works and words before God and all the people. Well, the high priests and our rulers betrayed him and sentenced him to death; then crucified him. We had such high hopes that he was about to redeem Israel. Yet now, it is already the third day since it all happened. In the meantime some of the women in our group astounded us. They were at the tomb very early this morning. His body wasn't there. Then they claimed to have seen a vision of two angels who said that he was alive. Some of our own group then also went to the tomb and found the grave empty, just as the women told us, but they did not see Jesus. You know that they're dressed up as Santa, I love that it's the spirit of celebration, festivities, the joy and the gratitude of sharing and creating moments with our families and our friends. I'll tell you a quick story as we're about ready to finish up. I really do love those little Salvation Army. I wanted to do that one time, and I did. So I signed up for the job, and I had my bell ringing station, and what did I do? I sang Christmas carols over and over and over and over again. It was wonderful, one of the best Christmas memories I have to share. And people came up to me and asked me, "Kristen, would you sing this carol?" or "Do you know this carol?" and I sang them and they sang with me. And they'd be holding their children, and they'd breathe and let the worries of the day just go away. It was so much fun. I trust this blessed you and your perspective. And what is so amazing, just because I kind of mushed the butter in the butter dish this morning, the simplest things, the simplest way that the Lord opens our hearts, so that we can see how full our lives are, how much he has infused us with love and how close it is. OUR PRAYER Shall we invite the Father? God, I thank you for opening a window of clarity for us today. What you tell yourself ~ I can remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a clue about mindset and emotions, my thoughts were like a string tied on a helium balloon. Guess what the balloon was filled with? You got it, you are so smart. The hot air of emotions, they would go up and down depending on the atmosphere. OK now raise your hands if you’ve been there done that thank you. I am so glad I am in good company. I was a young mom with two little ones and a third one on the way, feeling like a baby and diaper factory in serious need of a little TLC , so the emotions "I need, I need," I would go up in the air. To my husband‘s demise, when expectations weren’t met, the balloon of emotions would go up and the string tied to my thoughts would fall to the ground waiting to be tied to another emotion. That’s what I told myself. That’s how the string of thought, only gained lift and height and existence through the emotions. We have learned so much about what to think and how to know ourselves. We know that our elevated emotions, that’s frequency and sound, the positive emotions, love, joy, peace, admiration, fulfillment, tenderness, you got it right those positive emotions have the ability to change the emotions link to our thoughts. I’ve learned that I have the ability to choose where and what, I tie my thoughts to. I didn’t know, sadly that took me years to have a clue. If we use the paint color robin egg blue as clarity. What is the portrait of your life speaking to creation, is it clearly reflecting your goals and aspirations? Are your dreams and desires clear. What do I mean by portrait of life? Canvas and the structure of life, we enjoy the freedom, the rewards, the healthy boundaries that support the canvas, that support peace, that support the eternal hope. Things are subject to change, even the painting. All things are possible sitting at that table. Truth can change facts that you may look at today. About the mindset and colors of freedom and liberty, get clear about mindset, get clear about those thoughts that go around and round in your head, and paint colors of freedom and liberty. Get clear when it’s time to paint a change of scenery. What you always want to paint is robins egg blue. Love never fails. I’m gonna say that again. What we tell ourselves is always painted in robin's egg blue. Love never fails. Love always fills the emotional need that pops up in the atmosphere of life challenges. Thoughts, your thoughts, let them elevate your emotions. What God and you agree on is the Clarity that brings liberty and freedoms you enjoy, the courage you rise to, and the beauty you tell the universe around you. Our first familiar story is shared by our friend Mary of Mary and Martha. “Mary… sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said” (Luke 10:39, NIV). Let's take a moment to appreciate Mary's bold move. She plonks herself down "at the Lord's feet and listened to what he was saying" (Luke 10:39). Now, this might seem like just another pose, but wait! In the Jewish tradition, sitting at the feet was what a disciple did. Think of it as a VIP pass to learn from the master. And guess what? Mary was doing just that, soaking in every word from her rabbi, Jesus. Now, hold onto your hats because this is where it gets juicy. In a world where women were often sidelined, Mary was a disciple! Yes, you heard it right. A woman! This was not just a big deal but a scandalous and profound moment when Jesus accepted Mary as a legitimate disciple. It's no wonder women still find inspiration in Mary's story. Let me ask you a question, during Jesus ministry He obviously entertained conversations with many different people on His journey. The scriptures are a written and recorded conversation. When Jesus ascended into heaven, Acts. 1: 6-11 did He stop talking to people in whom He had a relationship with? Then how does He communicate with you and I?

Similarly, I mutter (as my friend tells me) it's a living conversation with Him. Scripture meditation, expressions of gratitude, or reflection on God's love to stay connected. This is the HEART OF ACTIVATIONS They are not just homework or busy-work; activations have been divinely inspired to inspire you and me. Together we have the opportunity to practice, unpack, engage and make them our own. I am the good shepherd, the one who knows what is mine and they know me. My knowledge of the Father is anchored in his knowledge of me. Because I know my father’s heart I lay down my life for the sheep. He escaped the temptation to see himself or the lady reduced to a lesser identity. He knew who he was and what his mission was all about as the Messiah of mankind - by seeing himself he was able to see her in the same light. What he had to offer was not for sale.) Lie #2: God only cares about us if we follow certain rules. Truth: God's love is not conditional on our behavior. While certain religious traditions may have specific rules and customs, God's love is available to all, regardless of their actions. Lie #3: God is distant and uninvolved in our lives. God is present in all aspects of our lives, offering guidance, comfort, and support when we need it most. Lie #4: God only favors one religion or group of people. Living in the moment can be a challenge, but it is the key to experiencing life fully. As Emily Dixon once said, "Forever is composed of nows." We are focusing on seven keys to living in the moment, both seen and unseen. The first key is to govern your own race. This means being responsible for your own life choices in relationship with Jesus and embracing the present moment. To live in the present, you must let go of the past and not worry about the future. Cherish the current moment and make the most of today. Each day comes with its own gifts, so untie the ribbon and open them up. The second secret tied in time is to living in the moment with an understanding of time. Time can be thought of as a being, and it is marked by completion. We touch on: Erase negative timestamps in your life and let the prayers of the saints wash over you. Revelations 5:8-9 speaks of marking completion time in our understanding. The moment when Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, was presented before the 24 Elders and each one had a stringed instrument and a typical temple vessel. The residue of sin itself consumed. His sacrifice the Lamb of God marked in time has just been presented in the outer court and then offered on the golden altar before the veil. We've gathered at the hour of incense at the hour of our eternal selves at the hour of gratitude and praise. We highlight to live in the moment is to choose your words and who you listen to. Choose the moments that take your breath away and cover your day. Remember that His answer for you is tangible and that even tho the vision awaits its appointed time. It hastens to the end and it will not lie. Wait for it, it will surely come and it will not delay. Your life is a sweet smelling offering to God, and it is beautiful to Him. By embracing the present moment, you allow His sacrifice to consume hard places and wash and cleanse your mind, thoughts, and words. Clarity Now Versus Tomorrow: Finding Joy in the Present Moment Have you ever felt like everything in your life was just a puzzle, with missing pieces that you couldn't quite make out? It can be frustrating to feel like you're missing something important, like you're not quite sure what you're meant to be doing or where you're meant to be going. But there's good news: according to First Corinthians 13:12, there will come a time when everything will become clear. Right now, we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but one day, every day we experience Him we have growing clarity to see ourselves in Him. This concept of perfect clarity is all about gazing face to face with Christ, so that we might know ourselves even as we have always been known. It's about finding joy in the present moment, even as we look forward to the future with hope and expectation. When we walk through Christ's sacrifice, we walk through his reflection, through his face. And this brings us happiness, not in some far-off future or in some other place, but right here, right now. It's not always easy to live in the present moment, especially when there are so many distractions and worries vying for our attention. But when we fix our eyes upon Jesus, He becomes the source of our sustenance and the conclusion of our faith. He endured the cross and despised the shame of it, all because He chose to see the joy of mankind's salvation. And that same joy can be ours, too, if we're willing to let go of our fears and doubts and trust in His love for us. So let's embrace the present moment, even as we look forward to the future with hope and expectation. Let's find joy in the now, and let that joy light a flame that burns brightly into tomorrow.
Shifting Focus to the Future with a Powerful Metaphor and Biblical Reference We highlight the importance of leaving the past behind and looking to the future. Using a metaphor of driving and looking in the side mirror, the focus is the significance of moving forward. Living in the present moment means acknowledging the value of each breath. I Love drawing on the biblical story of the bronze basin from Exodus, how this act of cleansing symbolizes the washing away of sins, a sacrifice that Jesus has accomplished for us. Encountering Him shifts the focus to know Him as our High Priest who has washed us clean, emphasizing that we are complete in Christ and reflect him like mirrors. Take a moment to visualize your self as the mirror!

He now occupies the highest seat of authority as the executive of our redemption in the throne room of God. What will it take to distance us from the love of Christ? You name any potential calamity: intense pressure of the worst possible kind, claustrophobia, persecution, destitution, loneliness, extreme exposure, exposure, life-threatening danger, or war? This is my conviction; no threat whether it be in death or life; be it celestial messengers, demon powers or political principalities, nothing known to us at this time, or even in the unknown future; no dimension of any calculation in time or space, nor any device yet to be invented, has what it takes to separate us from the love of God unveiled in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Cardiac ablation ❤︎ is a procedure that scars tissue in your heart to block irregular electrical signals. It is used to treat heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias). Courage is often found in the quiet moments with no audience. As we navigate through life, we all face storms that can be difficult to handle. Whether it's a personal struggle or a global crisis, the uncertainty and chaos that come with it can leave us feeling lost and helpless. But it's important to remember that even in the midst of the storm, there is always hope for peace. As someone who has faced many storms in my own life, I've learned that finding peace is not always easy, but it is always possible. One of the most important things I've discovered is the power of perspective. When we focus solely on the negative aspects of a situation, it can be easy to become overwhelmed and give up hope. But if we shift our focus to the positive things in our lives, no matter how small they may seem, we can begin to find peace and hope. Whether it's talking to a friend or family member, seeking advice from a professional, or simply joining a support group, there are many resources available to us. Finally, it's important to remember that storms don't last forever. Eventually, the clouds will clear and the sun will shine again. In conclusion, no matter what storm you may be facing in your life right now, remember that peace is possible. I was very fortunate to be brought up in a house where the gospel of John 3:16 was established. For God so LOVED that He GAVE. The entire cosmos is the object of God’s affection. And He is not about to abandon His creation - the gift of his Son is for mankind to realize their origin in Him who mirrors their authentic birth - begotten not of flesh but of the Father. It is a practiced mindset that eventually gives way to habit, and eventually dove-tails to that of my original nature in Him. Faith, and not reward, is the only valid basis for righteousness. Let us now fully engage this seamless union in our face to face friendship with God. Personally I do not watch the news. I limit exposure via a trusted news source delivered to my inbox. Breaking Christian News - The Elijah List. They carry a mandate from God to share, steward and Call to Action. Yet, despite all of this, we must remember that we have the power to make a difference, true peace on earth may seem like an impossible feat, but it starts with small acts of kindness and compassion in our daily lives. By treating each other with respect and understanding, we can build a world where love triumphs over fear and hate. John 14:27 14:27 Peace be with you. I give you my own peace - this is not the kind the world gives - this is peace in the midst of troubled times; therefore you have nothing to fear. Let not your hearts be timid. But if we can come together with a shared vision, we can create a future where our children and grandchildren can live in safety and harmony. Genesis 49:10 to Luke 1:33 Scriptures we love.Genesis 30:25-43 & Jacob Prospers 25Now after Rachel had given birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send me on my way so I can return to my homeland. 26Give me my wives and children for whom I have served you, that I may go on my way. You know how hard I have worked for you.” 27But Laban replied, “If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you.” 28And he added, “Name your wages, and I will pay them.” 29Then Jacob answered, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock have thrived under my care. 30Indeed, you had very little before my arrival, but now your wealth has increased many times over. The LORD has blessed you wherever I set foot.
