Give the mirror-word your undivided attention; do not underestimate yourself. Make the calculation. There can only be one logical conclusion: your authentic origin is mirrored in the word.
You are God’s poem; let his voice make poetry of your life. (The word, means intent listening. James is not promoting the doing of the law of works; he is defining the law of perfect liberty. Doing the word begins with your undivided attention to the face of your birth.
1:23 Anyone who hears the word, sees the face of their birth, as in a mirror. The difference between a mere spectator and a participator is that both of them hear the same voice and perceive in its message the face of their own genesis reflected there;

Last week you were heading to the parking lot at the grocery store, in a hurry, cart filled with the needs for the evening. It had really been a stressed day and you didn't want to be late for the evening festivities. Then an oddly dressed women, interrupted your hurry saying, she liked your smile. Changed the entire trajectory of your day.

1:24 they realize that they are looking at themselves, but for the one it seems just too good to be true; this person departs [back to the old way of seeing themselves], and immediately forgets what manner of person they are; never giving another thought to the one they saw there in the mirror.
1:25 The other is mesmerized by what they see; captivated by the effect of a law that frees them from the obligation to the old written code that restricted them to their own efforts and willpower. No distraction or contradiction can dim the impact of what is seen in the mirror concerning the law of perfect liberty [the law of faith] that now frees one to get on with the act of living the life [of their original design.] They find a new spontaneous lifestyle; the poetry of practical living. Within the sacred pages of the book of James, a profound message echoes forth:to heed the word of God is to walk the path of true enlightenment.

For example: You had an interesting dream last night. So vivid, with characters depicting behavior's that were tangible when you woke in the morning. You took the dream to the Lord first thing, while writing it down in your journal, His words, unspoken but illuminated in the heart, brought clarification and the meaning of the dream.

The mystical term, "akroate," summons forth the power of intent listening, a transformative act that unlocks the secrets of divine wisdom.
In this act of undivided attention, the veil between ourselves and our true origin is lifted, revealing the very countenance of our birth. It is a mirror that reflects our authentic selves, reminding us that we are God's masterpiece, and that His voice can weave a symphony of poetry within our lives.

For Example: You really didn't feel like cleaning up the kitchen, or making dinner last night. But there is a party that lives on the inside of you. So, out came the Christmas Movies, you picked a favorite, next thing you knew you were singing the familiars songs, Dinner, plus dessert were made including kitchen clean up and morning coffee. Listening with intent reveals the notes of His symphony within you!

Sneak into His undivided attention for you, on the other side of the veil.

Yet, James reminds us that merely being a spectator of this wondrous reflection is not enough. For this transformation to take root, we must become participators, captivated by the image of our true selves. Only then can we break free from the chains of old restrictions and discover a new, spontaneous way of living, a life of poetry in motion.
Within the mirror of the word, lies the law of perfect liberty, a divine image of Christ, redeemed in human form. Its reflection reveals the very essence of God, and by looking deeply into this reflection, we can see the face of Christ in the spirit of our minds and in the faces of those around us. It is a reminder that we should never underestimate ourselves, for we are God's creation, and His voice is the guiding light in our lives, beckoning us to embrace the poetry of our existence.
