Three areas that if we open our hearts, God will make a deposit, or understanding, strength and the endurance that GRACE provides.

Who "said" its not working... 

Who said GRACE isn't armed and dangerous,
Who said you were kicked off the mountaintop,
Who put a sign in front of your face to change your focus,
Who reached up from the pit of selfish circumstances and tried to pull you down,
Who said that losing your focus makes you lose the prize,
Who said....isn't that the SELF or YOU, all of you, that Jesus died for?
Isn't that the mystery of GRACE

The Surrender of the Heart.

Upon Thine altar, Lord, I lay
My poor, my only sacrifice;
Thou wilt not turn Thy face away,
Wilt not a broken heart despise.

Though hard as stone, cold as the clod,

Forgive

My Checklist: to overcome Self.

1. ​Love yourself and especially LIKE YOURSELF.
2. Enjoy yourself and plan activities that fill your joy tank. Part of enjoying yourself is cultivating the delight of being by yourself. Laughing at self.
3. Living in the present moment, we each have the power to make a pinch me moment if we will stop and choose to smell the roses of gratitude.
4. Being your worst critic. Now let me explain what I am looking down my nose at here. It's not a spirit of perfectionism, It's more of the expectations I put on myself that partner with a spirit of judgement.​

5. Within those expectations I condemn myself for not trying harder. But how many times has Jesus told each one of us how pleased and proud He is of us. He shows us the beginning point of the Gospel in our life and all the lines in the sand we have crossed over. The growth we have accomplished in our generation.

A great way for us to sum Forgiveness 2 Corinthians 5 
As a human person, Jesus felt the agony of mankind on the cross when he echoed Psalm 22, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me. Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning?” But then in verse 24 of this psalm, David declares triumphantly: “He has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; and he has not hid his face from him.”
2 Cor. 5:20 The voice God has in Christ he now has in us; we are God’s ambassadors. Our lives exhibit the urgency of God to persuade everyone to realize the reconciliation of their redeemed identity.

I thought that this Podcast episode from Church on the Move regarding forgiveness was insightful. 

Recognize

1. identify (someone or something) from having encountered them before; know again
   
2. acknowledge the existence, validity, or legality of.

The fact that we are God's offspring, certainly also means that we are equal heirs of God. Not only is God our portion, but we are his. We are co-heirs in Christ. So, whatever we may suffer, at any time could never separate us from our inclusion in his sufferings. Thus, every reminder of this mystery, also reinforces the fact that we have been made equal participants in the glory of his resurrection. Romans 8:17 Mirror
