Journey's, Goals, find your inspiration
JOURNEY'S
find your inspiration

You most likely don’t know this about me,
In my early 30’s, a house full of boys, my husband.
Totally surrounded by testosterone.
We had lost our farm and business and moved to Corvallis for my husbands work.
I remembering asking the Lord for a mentor,
I never missed church.
Served as Women’s Ministry Leader for years.
Taught bible study,
Lead a trouble teens youth group,

Worship Leader,
Baseball Mom,
Girl Scout Camp Director, (that was more than enough female hormones for a lifetime)

I asked Him again for a mentor, that was before COACHING was the buzz word.
Knew the Lord had given me a voice in my generation.
Asked Him for a mentor,
~Received my ordination

Asked Him for a mentor,
~Left the local church
~Stepped out of the “normal workforce”
~Started a Ministry School
~Church naturally happened in our home.
Asked Him for a mentor,
And if you have listened to any of my podcasts;
Like Moses, I had been meeting with God outside the “traditional” camp.
I remember the last time that I asked God for a Mentor
He said, “There aren’t any, Be one!”
That is a very trying and or bold statement! I have no room to complain, Holy Spirit faithfully has been my teacher. And then some!
~I always wanted some one who would get in my face,
~Talk with me and tell me about spiritual things,
~Hold my hand when it needed holding,
~And tell me to wear my big girl pants on occasion.
I’m a bridge builder, that you do know about me.
I have made my share of mistakes.
One of my greatest life lessons,
Never burn a bridge with another.
You don’t have to use the lifestyle “bridge” they may choose,
You may clearly remember the day you chose to never cross it again.
But never burn it!

GOALS: a DESTINCT DESTINATION

Never Burn a Bridge

Are you asking me why?
Because I am not the only one who has ever been down river before.
Bridges serve as a connection between,
Enabling patterns,
Both positive and negative traffic,
The means to ship supplies,
The testimony of the path, I used to take,
Until I found or built a more efficient bridge to cross.

I know there are great mentors and coaches.
It is a very good thing if you have invited someone to speak into your life in such away.
Have I become a mentor?
I would answer that confidently with, yes!
In the post I began by asking you to find your inspiration…
I have been inspired by many
Maybe more so today when my learning curve is so high.
This is the inspiration I look for,
In myself and others
  • Build a bridge that will be standing for the next one hundred years
So that your children’s children may cross it
Here is my but!

Build a bridge that will stand for 100 years.

Never limit yourself to building over water ways.
  • Build dreams in others,
  • Build stairs that lead to heaven,
  • Build solutions for communities,
  • Build character to say no,
  • Build morals with fiber that withstand every judgement,
  • Build compassion to heal the sick,
  • Build forgiveness for every mistake you’ve learn from,
  • Build a book full of stories, that others delight in hearing,
  • Build a masterpiece that you would paint on the ceiling of the Chapel you meet God within.

BUILD |  BRIDGES
We are two weeks into our Goal Series.
Writing writing writing, it appears there are many things to say.

Thank you for you comments and inspirations.
Yes you may ask me questions. Love the spiritual kind and how to make it practical. Recording a podcast today and that would be a great place to share your the answer.

If you haven’t sat down with my blog posts yet, grab a glass of wine, yes you can drink wine in the bathroom….
I’m laughing.
Sometimes its the only momentary place for peace and quiet. Right Mom’s, and I said momentary. My husband knows better. Tee Hee!
For me the only disruption these days is Dash, my King Charles Spaniel.
Extra kudos: do you know where her name derives from!  Free Gift below for those of you who commented. That's why they call it kudos!

Dash (1830–1840) was a King Charles Spaniel owned by Queen Victoria. Victoria's biographer Elizabeth Longford, called him "the Queen's closest childhood companion" Credit Wikipedia

What came out of my thoughts and through my pen yesterday has captivated my attention.

to enjoy the music this is a
1 minute version.

The Sistine Chapel ceiling (Italian: Soffitto della Cappella Sistina), painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512, is a cornerstone work of High Renaissance art. The ceiling is that of the Sistine Chapel, the large papal chapel built within the Vatican between 1477 and 1480 by Pope Sixtus IV, for whom the chapel is named. It was painted at the commission of Pope Julius II. The chapel is the location for papal conclaves and many other important services.

The ceiling's various painted elements form part of a larger scheme of decoration within the Chapel, which includes the large fresco The Last Judgement on the sanctuary wall, also by Michelangelo, wall paintings by several leading painters of the late 15th century including Sandro Botticelli, Domenico Ghirlandaio and Pietro Perugino, and a set of large tapestries by Raphael, the whole illustrating much of the doctrine of the Catholic Church.
Central to the ceiling decoration are nine scenes from the Book of Genesis, of which The Creation of Adam is the best known, having an iconic standing equalled only by Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the hands of God and Adam being reproduced in countless imitations. The complex design includes several sets of individual figures, both clothed and nude, which allowed Michelangelo to fully demonstrate his skill in creating a huge variety of poses for the human figure and which have provided an enormously influential pattern book of models for other artists ever since. Friday Thoughts

I am so delighted it is Friday
A couple of LIVES and the weekend can begin.

I’d loved to know what was the highlight of your week?
In the comments, please.

“Passion is the bridge that takes you from pain to change. ~Frida Kahlo
  • Did you do something difficult that challenged you? But you did it and it’s a win in your self confidence.
  • Maybe you walked away from a trigger point and said “I DON’T THINK SO!!!!” That is a win!
  • Or did you get caught up in something so simple the beauty of it brought you to tears?
  • What was your Aha moment with God? And how did He share it with you?
