Opening Advent drawer number 9 and counting. This is fun! An Adult Advent Calendar! Now if I could figure out how to shove chocolate in a download I'd be rich! I'm working on it!
Yesterday's Cookie recipe will suffice any sweet tooth!
I remember the first time I saw a hand blown glass pickle. My Mom and I had stopped by a local gift store known for there exquisite Christmas decor. I loved the tale and the game. I purchased a pickle and it soon became a fun tradition in our home. My boys would just hide the pickle from each other and play for hours. Wish it was that easy today. Smile!
The pickle still has its magic, as they (Adult Sons) still search it out, or ask which tree it is hidden on. Young Mom's well worth adopting, however just one present opened never worked for us. But they always opened there PJ's Christmas Eve anyway.
It's kind of a big dill at my house. Every Christmas, our halls and tree are decked out from top to bottom. In the midst of all the glittery, sparkly, shiny ornaments and garland, there hangs a single glass pickle (hand blown on Amazon.com $14,95) It's the most sought after piece of decoration in the house... and for good reason. See, on Christmas Eve, after the children have fallen asleep, my parents sneak downstairs and hide the pickle in the boughs of the tree. Because of its green color, it blends into the evergreen and is hard to spot. The first child to find the ornament on Christmas morning is granted the privilege of unwrapping a special gift from under the tree.Read complete article at Martha Stewart Credit: Alexandra Churchill

Let us remind each other the power of a Kid at Heart. The magic, the wonder, the mystery and the innocence of a child's heart are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world. - Author: Michael Jackson Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. —God Ephesian 5:1-2 A great man is one who has not lost the child's heart. - Author: Mencius I'm constantly amazed by the ability a child has to show sympathy, to read emotions, to get to the heart of any situation. It's unfiltered and completely inspiring. - Author: David Duchovny Intentional Now Podcast: Episode #14
