Did Day 13 Sneak up on us? Yes, and no! I created most of my post last night, but was a little sleepy in thought and choose to wait on the words for tomorrow when tomorrow becomes today. Helps to have a little snow mid morning! Brings the FUN and Giggle out in me!

Medicinal FUN continued:
Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. —Maya Angelou One of my favorite quotes that I use in my Simplicity Journal Template. And that is your New Advent Gift. Make sure you open every drawer, you don't want to miss your gifts! Free GiftYour Link Simplicity Template JournalWith complete instructions. Happy Journaling! That's what Christmas memories are made from, they're not planned, they're not scheduled, nobody puts them in their phone, they just happen." —Deck the Halls, Movie I have always love ice skating. My favorite FUN, impromptu ICE day was many years ago. I was 3 months pregnant with our second son, our oldest over 2. The winter weather that year was extremely cold with more than two weeks of around 20 degrees and below, Brr. We were visiting my folks on the farm I grew up on in Independence Or. My husband, a true Chicago-raised-kid, took a walk down to the pond, fearlessly walked on it and said it was fully frozen and we could walk on it. We gathered our ice skates and that evening we drove the cars out into the field and parked next to the frozen pond. The headlights created a lovely beacon. We skated and laughed. My Dad raised in California but had worked in his younger years in an ice skating rink, I think he was in his late 70s, put on his vintage speed skates and glided like it was yesterday in his youth. The thought warms my heart. What a treat and a memory treasured. Skating on the family pond! Happy ChristmasI'll see you tomorrow! Kristen
