My hands hover over the keys while tears rise from my heart to eyes. Typing is comfortable. One of few classes that I would share the grades on my report card. I could fly over the keys, type at almost a hundred words a minute, but why is writing so difficult?

Baking has an emotional connection between God and me. I can hear Him clearer when my hands are discovering projects. I use the term "outworking" which means I'm "working out" things in the spirit, things that I carry in my heart. Things that need change, to move, transform, find the best possible means of happiness. My marriage and the condition of friends marriages just aren't up to snuff, and we all go to church together. What's up with that?

I agree that a cake recipe is not the regular place you find words about transformation, it's a journey I think is worth sharing about a "fragrant" Wedding dessert and how it is touching lives.

During my editing journey of The UnFinised Book, I was spending a day with my Mom. Sitting on the edge of her sunken tub waiting for her to finish putting on her makeup. Hanging out in the bathroom has always been a Mom-Daughter family place. I noticed sitting amongst her nic-nac's was an antique teacup filled with little gold containers. Not the first time I had seen them but the first time I took an interest. Collected in the porcelain lay three "Ponds makeup rouge" gold containers which had belonged to my Great Aunt. My Mom unaware of the story and my affection for tiny gold vessels. I shared a bit and asked if I could have one. As you can see, it sits next to my computer. A divine remembrance of the treasure-key He put in my hand. It does look like an antique gold "snuff" box.
