Embracing divine comfort. Can we really be comfortable with ourselves in God? Does your ego, the left brain of life, keep you under fire at the altar of burnt offerings? Or doing another load of self laundry at the laver? Do you struggle with thoughts circling in your head, consistently reminding you of imperfections, what needs to change, or improve? Embracing divine comfort, finding your sanctuary in God's love. A sanctuary? What does that feel like? How would I encounter God's love in a way that looked and felt like me? This episode is pulling out five insights as easily as pushing a button on the remote and exploring how simple divine truths can transform our journey and everyday life. Do you ever feel like your life is a constant loop of self-laundry, endlessly washing away imperfections at the "laver" of your mind? In a world that constantly demands improvement, it’s easy for our inner critic—that analytical, left-brained ego—to keep us under fire. But what if the relentless struggle for self-acceptance is entirely unnecessary? What if, as the Apostle Paul suggests, you are already "gift-wrapped" and perfect in your original design? This episode explores five profound insights to help you push the remote, tune out the noise, and step into your ordained sanctuary of divine comfort. Habitual Renewal: "This is his work. All we have to do is ponder the truth." The Ocean of Unconditional GraceImagine standing at the edge of a tropical ocean—vast, warm, and inviting. This is the extravagant dimension of grace that envelops you, regardless of your past performance or perceived shortcomings. Grace has no favorites; it extends equally to the largest and smallest of beings. This is the environment where you find divine comfort and assurance in your original, likable self. This comfort is a resting place, not a striving one. On Self-Acceptance: "This ocean of grace wraps each of us regardless of our past performance or perceived shortcomings, offering us a sanctuary where we find divine comfort, assurance and our original and likable self." —Kristen Wambach Habitually Renewed: His Work, Our Struggle often boils down to noisy, self-critical thoughts. We wrestle between our practical self and our intuition. The answer, according to scripture, is simple and radical: “Thus you are habitually renewed in your innermost mind. This will cause you to be completely reprogrammed in the way you think about yourself.” The key is to ponder the truth about you as it’s displayed in Christ. You Can Never Be More Co-Raised Than What You Already AreThis is the bedrock of the sanctuary. Whether you slept on the couch last night or feel miles away from spiritual perfection, the truth remains: You can never be more co-raised or co-elevated than what you already are now. You can never be more saved or more in Christ. This co-seatedness in the heavenly realm is outside of time—the beginning, middle, and end. Even your past decisions, held in His redemptive oneness, do not disqualify you. Our journey now is simply about growing in the awareness of this already accomplished redemption. Your Sanctuary makes you feel... |
| Your Sanctuary Looks Like You. A sanctuary isn't a generic church room—it's intensely personal. It is uniquely designed by the "world's most famous interior designer" and looks and feels like a list of your favorite things. It’s the mountain vista that humbles you, the smell of the forest that restores you, the elegance of white roses that speak of the Bridegroom's love. Every detail looks like you because that is how God sees you while He is sitting inside your spirit. Your sanctuary is your original identity, a story without words, a heavenly picture drawn on your heart. It is the intimate space where there is “no I or you.” |
| Summary: The episode is a transformative reminder that Christian spiritual growth is not about strenuous striving, but about surrendered awareness. We are not pursuing grace; we are already swimming in it. Our spirit was never contaminated. We are perpetually co-raised and co-elevated with Christ. By pondering this truth and shedding our self-protective masks, we claim our personal, custom-designed sanctuary of divine comfort—our beautiful, gift-wrapped self. |

Some examples of self-protective mechanisms include:
- Withdrawal: Avoiding confrontation by pulling away from others
- Manipulation: Using others for one's own advantage
- Projection: Accusing someone else of thoughts and behaviors that are desired to be hidden
- Procrastination: Delaying tasks to avoid negative evaluations from others
- Pretending to be laid back: A way to avoid taking responsibility for one's actions
- Deferring to others: Putting others' needs before one's own
- Using sarcasm: A way to keep people at a distance
Self-protective mechanisms can be activated when someone experiences a threat to their positive self-views, such as being criticized, performing poorly on an exam, or social rejection.

P.S. I’ll be honest with you—I’m a "Hardback" kind of gal. There is something about diving deep and writing all over the pages, capturing the thoughts and conversations I hear from the Lord in real-time. While the ePub is convenient, it limits your ability to use this as a truly responsive Playbook.
Between you and me, the royalties on a printed book are much smaller, but the impact is so much greater. I want you to have the version that lets you "suit up" and engage. If you want to mark it up, wear it out, and make it yours—go for the Hardback.💋
