Sometimes we have to put the trumpet down, close up the music, and hang out with the orchestra conductor for a while." --Kristen Wambach
SUMMARYIn this episode of the Interviewing Jesus Podcast, Kristen Wambach draws from her 20-year mastery as an ordained pastor and Investigative Journalist of the Spirit to tackle the "nitty-gritty" of human fear, pain, and silence. Kristen deconstructs fear as a distorted "identity crisis," utilizing the Mirror Bible to shift listeners from an expectation of punishment to the security of Oneness. Through Quantum thinking and personal narratives—including the moving story of a painting named "Jane"—Kristen differentiates between being fragile and being truly vulnerable. She provides practical lifestyle tools, such as the "Boomerang Effect" for physical pain and the "Mirror Exercise," designed to move the Spiritually BRAVE from passive seekers to active participants in their God-inspired DNA. The episode concludes with a powerful perspective on divine silence as a sign of spiritual maturity and trust.

Vulnerable means that you have exposed yourself and you've laid your heart out on the desk... your heart is available for those to view." --Kristen Wambach WATCH THE VIDEO VERSIONA child doesn't need to know the whole map if they are holding their Father's hand." SCAN TO LISTEN ON MOBILE DEVICE It’s winter time here in Oregon—cold, rainy, and the kind of weather that makes you want to crawl under an electric heating blanket. But as I sit here, I’m thinking about the "nitty-gritty" of your daily life. After more than two decades as an ordained pastor and transformation coach, I’ve learned that the most profound spiritual shifts happen right in the middle of our most human moments. As an Investigative Journalist of the Spirit, I’ve spent twenty years documenting the goodness of God through direct, relational encounters. What I’ve discovered is that the volume of our pain often tries to drown out the whisper of God. We find ourselves paralyzed by fear or lost at a crossroads, looking for answers that religious platitudes simply cannot provide. Your pain is not a sign that God is absent; it’s the place where His comfort becomes tangible." --Kristen Wambach Fear as an Identity Crisis In my 20-year tenure teaching believers how to engage the heavenly realm, I’ve realized that fear is rarely just an emotion—it is an identity crisis. Even as a seasoned spiritual leader, I’ve had to "get after myself" recently. As movers and shakers, we often take on responsibilities that weren't ours to carry, leading us to look into a distorted mirror of self-judgment. The Mirror Bible renders 1 John 4:18 with profound clarity: "Fear is always associated with the expectation of punishment; it is a distorted reflection of self." When we fear we aren't "arriving" or "doing enough," we have lost our focus on our Oneness with God. Sometimes, we need to put the trumpet down and hang out with the Orchestra Conductor to be re-tuned by His love. Quantum Thinking and the Boomerang of Mercy When we deal with pain—whether physical pressure or emotional weight—we must apply Quantum thinking. This means translating high-level spiritual truth into a practical lifestyle tool. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 identifies God as the source of all comfort. In my experience, the fastest way to move out of the isolation of pain is the Boomerang Effect. By using your authority to encourage someone else, you trigger a flow of mercy that swings back to you, bathing your own situation in His tangible presence. Don't just endure the "mountain" of decay; as a co-heir in Christ, you have the authority to speak to it and command it to move. VIDEOS YOU WILL ALSO LOVEStop the mechanical grind. If you’re exhausted from "working the system" with no results, it’s because you’re operating on human effort instead of Kingdom Electricity. Philip Hunt reveals how to clear the "resistance" in your 45-mile nervous system to let your faith voltage soar. Learn to stop chasing success and start Engineering Miracles. Stop waiting for affirmation—find the woman who will empower the miracle you're carrying. This is how women raise up women. —Elain Lankford Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change." — Brené Brown Vulnerability vs. Fragility: The Story of Jane Years ago, I encountered an eight-foot canvas in a Portland gallery—a painting I call "Jane." She was the catalyst for a major investigative finding in my journey: the distinction between being fragile and being vulnerable. Being fragile means you are easily broken. But being vulnerable means you are authentic; you’ve laid your heart out on the table. This is the core of Spiritually BRAVE living. When we are vulnerable before the Lord, we aren't weak—we are securing ourselves in His "hugeness." It is the ultimate act of relational discernment. Mastery in the Silence What about when God feels silent? After twenty years of ministry, I’ve come to see silence not as an absence, but as a sign of Sonship and trust. If you are at a crossroads and the map seems blank, it is because God trusts your maturity to make the decision. He is backing your God-inspired DNA. You don’t need the whole map when you are holding the Father’s hand. Chapter Activation: The Mirror Exercise As part of the Chapter Activations Coaching Church framework, I want to move you from passive learning into active participation. The Activation: Go to a physical mirror. Stare at your reflection. Silence the inner critic. Stay there until the "what ifs" melt away and you recognize the eyes of Jesus looking back at you through your own. This is the restoration of your Oneness. Go look in the mirror and stare at yourself until you can see Jesus's eyes looking back at you." --Kristen Wambach A Pastoral Prayer for You Father, I thank You for my friend. I ask that You flood them with Your goodness right now. We take the weights and expectations that aren't ours, and we hand them to You. Thank You for the supernatural wisdom that rewrites our lives and restores our God-inspired DNA. Amen.
