A Launch Day Reflection from Kristen WambachThere are moments in a spiritual investigative journalist’s life where the notes are set aside, the structured outlines are folded away, and the only thing left is the raw, vibrating frequency of a testimony. Today, April 1, 2026, is that day. It is Passover—a day of deliverance—and it is the official launch of my second book: HOW GOOD IS GOD? I am holding the hardback in my hands as I write this. It has a certain weight to it—not just the physical heft of 440 pages, but the weight of 30 years of documentation. It represents over 100,000 words dedicated to one pursuit: expanding our bandwidth for the goodness of God. WATCH THE VIDEO VERSIONx

EPISODE TRANSCRIPTKristen Wambach (00:02): Hello and welcome. This is Kristen from the Interviewing Jesus Podcast. Where to start? Today, this particular episode is being released on April 1st, which is Passover in 2026. It is the day that we launch and release my second book, HOW GOOD IS GOD? Coaching church beyond the gates of hell to truly experience Heaven. Now, let me just put a pre-warning in this episode. I’m really excited to share it with you. I don’t really have notes. I’m not quite sure where we’re going to end up, and yes, I will be pitching because I really want to share the book with you. It’s a momentous day for me with lots of emotion, sweat, and tears, and lots of time in the Lord’s presence. I just wanted to share it with you and I pray it brings value to your life. Kristen Wambach (01:38): As I say, this is off the cuff. I’m holding a hardback. It’s my favorite. I lead with the fact that it’s my favorite because I like to write in my books. I like to scribble in them. I prefer to write what I hear the Lord saying to me in the midst of reading. Now, for those who are a little more skeptical because the hardback is the most expensive—it’s $42.99—it is actually the book I make the least amount of royalties on. Go figure, huh? It costs me an arm and a leg just for the book to be made. If you’ve never published a book, you’re just going to have to take my word for it. Kristen Wambach (02:33): Where do we begin? Maybe I should have you pray for me. It is such a large project—440 pages. Oh my goodness. I wrestled with thoughts to trim it down to make it more bite-size, but it never felt like what the Lord wanted. He wanted a playbook. He wanted the meat and potatoes of a book to share with you. Kristen Wambach (04:14): For those of you who have ever dreamed about writing a book: 20% is the manuscript; 80% is the sweat and work to get it to the publishing point. Don’t let that frighten you away. It is a labor of love and consistency. Talk to the Lord about your project. Remember that your words and where you have traveled bring value to somebody who needs to hear the hope that you are and how God answered for you. How good is God? Can we really answer that today? I guarantee that He is "gooder" than our current bandwidth. He is gooder than this book sitting here on my desk. This book is a documentation of the heart to expand our current bandwidth on His goodness. Kristen Wambach (05:43): I’m reading from the "Coached Player" section. I used the metaphor of American football to put in a structure where we could consume spiritual ideas and text. For me, winning isn't something that happens suddenly on the field when the whistle blows and the crowd roars. Winning is something that builds physically and mentally every day that you train and every night that you dream. That is from Emmitt Smith, Football Hall of Fame running back. A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals. Joe Torre, the legendary baseball manager, said: "Competing at the highest level is not about winning. It's about preparation, courage, understanding, and nurturing your people and heart." Kristen Wambach (07:38): But what if we handed the microphone to the Head Coach? What if we handed it to Jesus and asked Him: "What does it mean to win? What does it mean to succeed in God?" We want our dreams and our prophetic words to come to pass. What would Jesus say? As for me, winning is found not in the fleeting accolades of this world, but in the faithful stewardship of the gifts entrusted to you, in the loving service rendered to your neighbor, and in the enduring pursuit of the kingdom that is within you. True victory belongs to the heart made pure, the spirit made humble, and the life poured out for a purpose beyond its own. Run the race with perseverance, fixing your eyes not on earthly crowns, but on the eternal joy set before you. Kristen Wambach (10:05): How good is God? He designed the race so that the victory is secure—not by your striving, but by your faithful stewardship of what He has already deposited in your heavenly origin. In every act of love, every moment of sacrifice, and every heartbeat devoted to the will of God, you will find the true victory that never fades. I am inspired because Jesus was just as human as you and I are. Father God coached Him. He showed Him how things worked and how His love was a conduit for others. God’s goodness is bigger than your current bandwidth. Kristen Wambach (12:34): With the spirit of a coach and the wisdom of a pastor, I’ve accomplished something wonderful. This book is a high-velocity offensive play against the religious static that has kept you sidelined. It is time to stop playing defense with your faith and start running from a position of absolute finished-work victory. This is your ultimate field guide for reclaiming a life that has been capped by the heavy seasons of survival. What’s in it? 30 years of spiritual investigation. Documented encounters with the Father’s heart. A CEO’s perspective on Heaven’s blueprint. Practical keys to interviewing Jesus—how to talk to God, hear God, and listen to His heart. You will navigate life’s hits with heavenly clarity and activate the redemptive design wired into your DNA. Kristen Wambach (14:33): A few years back, a podcaster asked every guest this question: "If you only had one sentence that could culminate your relationship, goals, and dreams—what gets you to show up at the table every morning—what would you say?" This was my response from Luke 14:23: "Compel them to come." For in the invitation lies the transformative power of love that draws us closer to the heart of God. Compel them to come, to hear, to read, to listen, and to witness the heart of God. Kristen Wambach (17:21): I’d like to share two stories. In the book, I share my experiences in the lower realms of the earth. We talk about spiritual things on this podcast all the time, so it won’t surprise you that God has more for us in different realms. In John 6:35-36 from the Mirror Bible, Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He that comes face to face with me shall never hunger." The commentary says: "You might be happy with healings and signs, but you still fail to understand who I am. I’m not here to impress you with me. I’m here to persuade you about you. Your sonship is what I am all about." I told God I needed persuading. So He led me on this journey to persuade you about who you are in Him and how much He loves you. Kristen Wambach (20:53): Have you asked God lately, "How good are You in this circumstance?" My husband Don is a true foodie. When the pennies add up, our favorite spot is Luca Tavern here in Corvallis. Lately, life has been all about the book—440 pages, cover specs, technical marathons on Amazon and IngramSpark. One morning I woke up at 2:00 AM because Holy Spirit pushed me. It took me 12 hours to solve a minute formatting problem regarding chapter titles on e-readers. 12 hours! I knew Don needed a foodie "appreciation shot in the arm." He’s famous for his Sunday lamb tacos, so we brought some to the restaurant crew. Seeing the head chef give a thumbs up made Don’s day. As we backed out of our parking spot afterward, Don pointed: "Kristen, look!" On a vintage marquee right in front of us, the sign proclaimed a poem titled Flight by Anne Farley: "Don’t you wish you could open a book? Spine splayed, pages fluttering... let it lift you up, up, up." After weeks of technical hurdles, I felt like the victorious final whistle had blown. That is how God talks to us. That is how He encourages us. Kristen Wambach (28:51): My last little story: Remember when Jesus asked Peter, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter said, "You are the Christ." Jesus responded that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. This is my final declaration to you: It is time for us to prevail against the gates of hell. About a third of my book is about this. You will know that you know how good God is, and that what we’ve been taught or told was not exactly the truth. Thank you for letting me share. I trust the Holy Spirit that you can feel my delight. I invite you to pick up the book, read it, and come back to comment. We’re in a relationship. Hoot hoot! I am so honored to have your ear. Go get the book. I guarantee your bandwidth about God’s goodness will expand. I bless you. Bye now! SCAN TO LISTEN ON MOBILE DEVICE Beyond the Manuscript: The 80/20 Reality For anyone who has ever dreamed of writing, let me offer a "Monday-morning" reality check. The manuscript—the actual writing—is only about 20% of the journey. The remaining 80% is the sweat, the consistency, and the spiritual endurance required to bring a vision to the publishing point. It is a labor of love that requires constant conversation with the Lord. Why 440 pages? Why not something "bite-sized"? Because the Lord didn’t want a pamphlet, He wanted a playbook. He wanted the meat and potatoes of spiritual text to share with a world that is starving for substance. This book is a practical path, filled with raw stories and simple activations, designed to ensure that your words—where you have traveled and where you have walked—bring value to someone who needs to hear the hope you carry. Expansion of Bandwidth: Moving from religious exhaustion to navigating life’s hits with heavenly clarity. The Head Coach’s Definition of WinningIn the book, I use the metaphor of American football to provide a structure for consuming complex spiritual ideas. We often look to legends like Emmitt Smith or Larry Bird to define "winning." They talk about the daily grind, the God-given talents, and the preparation. But what happens when we hand the microphone to the Head Coach? What does Jesus say about winning? If we infer from His teachings, winning isn't found in fleeting accolades. True victory belongs to the heart made humble, and the life poured out for a purpose beyond its own. Jesus, being just as human as you and I, was coached by the Father. He was shown how love works as a conduit. Winning, in the kingdom, is the faithful stewardship of the "heavenly origin" already deposited within your DNA. It is time to stop playing defense with your faith and start running from a position of absolute, finished-work victory. Persuaded by Love: Why Jesus isn't just here to impress us with His power, but to persuade us about our own sonship. The "Gooder" Standard I have coined a word for this season: Gooder. God is gooder than our current bandwidth. He is gooder than the religious static that has kept so many of us sidelined in seasons of survival. My investigative journey took me into deep places—realms of death and darkness—not to frighten me, but because I needed to be "persuaded." In the Mirror Bible commentary on John 6, there is a profound insight: Jesus isn't just here to impress us; He is here to persuade us about us. He wants to persuade you of your sonship. He wants to overcome your fear of "hell" and birth you into the newness of resurrection life. This book is the documentation of that persuasion. The Flight of a Book: A miraculous "sign on a marquee" in Corvallis that confirmed the spiritual weight of this release. A Sign of FlightDuring the final, grueling weeks of technical hurdles—12-hour marathons solving minute formatting issues—the Lord gave me a sign. My husband Don and I were in downtown Corvallis, sharing a simple community offering of Sunday lamb tacos with local friends. As we backed out of a parking spot, we saw a vintage marquee. It displayed a poem titled Flight by Anne Farley. It spoke of opening a book until the pages turn into wings that lift you "up, up, up." That is my prayer for you as you engage with this field guide. I want the "static" of religious exhaustion to be erased. I want you to clutch these covers and let the truth of God’s goodness lift you above the heavy seasons of the past. Compel Them to ComeYears ago, I was asked to sum up my mission in a single sentence. My response was fueled by Luke 14:23: "Compel them to come." In that invitation lies the transformative power of love. I am compelling you today—not just to buy a book, but to enter into a deeper relationship with the Father's heart. We are in this together. This is a high-velocity offensive play against everything that has capped your potential. The gates of hell shall not prevail. It is time for us to prevail instead. Your bandwidth is about to expand. How Good is God? Coaching Church Beyond the Gates of Hell to Truly Experience Heaven is now available. Let’s experience the "Gooder" God together.HOW GOOD IS GOD!
