It’s a powerful acronym for our journey to freedom. Today, we're diving into an incredibly impromptu and mystical communion I had with the Lord, connecting the seemingly disparate ideas of physical healing, a butter churn, and the unfruitful fig tree. As always, we’re letting the Holy Spirit lead the way. Amen! He's teaching us... to know how He heals our body. And if we know how He heals our body, just imagine what happens when we lay hands on the sick. Amen." —Kristen Wambach EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
My Communion: A Quest for Healing, I was at my son and daughter-in-law's house, taking care of my granddaughter – a joyful task that fills my week and demands good time organization! It was there, in a quiet moment of communion, that I asked the Lord to teach me how to heal myself. I wanted to understand His promise of health and wholeness for us. You see, I believe with every fiber of my being that what Jesus accomplished on the cross – His death and resurrection – nailed sin, sickness, death, and decay. Disease, pain, and suffering are all rooted in sin, and Jesus utterly overcame them, washing them away. We are meant to walk in wholeness, and death and decay have no portion in our lives. If you have questions about this, ask Jesus, and He will lead you into all truth! During my communion, I was pondering our ability to "prompt" or "move" matter, light, and sound. Some might call it "energy healing," and while light is energy that can create mass, I'm talking about the very power of God. Imagine an injury – God's powerful, fiery, loving energy can literally change the molecular makeup of a wound, restoring it or creating something brand new. Our bodies are designed to heal naturally, but when healing doesn't occur, I have to ask: Why not? The Butter Churn Revelation So, I was asking Jesus to teach me how to trigger this ability to move matter, light, and power within my own body. We are seated in heavenly places with Him, at the Father's right hand. He's in me, I'm in Him – in this position of authority, we have the ability to move light, matter, sound, and energy, just like God. I want to know this stuff, because the more I understand, the more I can surrender to His truth and share it with others. I felt the tangible presence of the Lord. You know that wonderful touch, that undeniable presence that can fill a room and your very being? It’s a communication from His Spirit, through our soul, into our body, making His divine presence palpable. My specific prayer point that day was a persistent, strong pain in my left ankle, just above my Achilles heel, accompanied by swelling. I hadn't injured it, and it had been there for about a month. As I sat in His presence, feeling the pain and His tangible touch, I waited for Him to teach me. I wanted to understand the process of triggering healing, to change the molecular DNA of my ankle. And then, I saw it. In my mind's eye, I saw Jesus in the room, churning butter. It was an old-fashioned, stand-up butter churn, like from "Little House on the Prairie." He churned the paddle up and down, and then He rolled the handle in His hands, causing the paddles inside to swirl around, both backward and forward. I kept feeling His presence, listening, and tuning into what was happening in my ankle, trying to understand this seemingly unrelated vision. I even "Googled" it – "How do you weave the metaphors of Jesus churning butter with receiving healing?" Yes, Jesus can use your AI! This revelation also connected to the scripture I had read that morning: the passage about the unfruitful fig tree from Matthew 21, which Jesus cursed for its lack of fruit, causing it to wither. How could these seemingly disparate elements – my ankle pain, Jesus churning butter, and the fig tree – be connected? But He was telling me they were. Imagine the pain in my ankle as the cream in the churn – complex, undifferentiated, a mixture of damaged cells, swelling, and even emotional responses like fear, frustration, and despair. Just like the fat globules and water are inseparable in the cream, so too are the physical and emotional aspects of pain. The cream isn’t yet butter; the pain isn’t yet healed. The churning, then, represents the active, often arduous process of physical healing. It’s not passive; it involves intentional effort. Jesus’s rhythmic churning, both up-and-down and swirling, symbolizes the therapies, rest, nutrition, and self-care that agitate the injured area, breaking down scar tissue, reducing inflammation, and improving circulation. These interventions disrupt the static, painful state, just as churning damages the fat globule membranes. And what about bone marrow? When we take communion, we consume His body and blood, His very DNA. I want that DNA to infiltrate the marrow of my bones, producing healthy cells in His image. The churning directly informs and guides the bone marrow, signaling to the body’s repair crew that help is needed. It’s like my ankle sending an S.O.S., and Jesus, through the churning, is sending forth aid – healing factors, growth factors, and anti-inflammatory molecules. As the churning continues, the pain begins to coalesce into a more manageable form, much like the butter grains forming. The buttermilk separates, representing the release of unnecessary byproducts of pain – excess inflammation, rigid guarding, even learned helplessness, fear-based tightening, and poor circulation. Just as the Jersey cow cream needed to be at room temperature for the molecular change, our bodies need to release these blocking elements for healing to occur. The Unfruitful Fig Tree: Eliminating Blocks to Healing Now, for the unfruitful fig tree. This often perplexing act of Jesus cursing the fig tree is not an act of malice, but a powerful metaphor for decisively eliminating what is unproductive or blocks fruitfulness. In the context of healing, the "leaves" of the fig tree without fruit represent elements that are present but not contributing to actual healing and restoration. These unfruitful elements could be chronic, unresolved inflammation, excessive scar tissue, learned pain behaviors, lack of nutrient delivery, or poor circulation. It's the "membrane that refuses to break" if our body or mind rigidly clings to the pain, resisting the churning process. Jesus cursing the fig tree is an act of targeted intervention, sometimes aggressive, to break persistent blocks. It can be a mental and emotional "cutting off" – releasing the grip of fear, anxiety, or victimhood that prevents the body from fully regenerating. Overwhelm and anxiety, for example, can absolutely block our body's ability to regenerate. This unproductive element must go for healing to manifest. Conclusion: He is the Churner! My communion with Jesus, seeing Him churn butter as an answer to my prayer for ankle healing, and blending it with the fig tree parable, beautifully illustrates the transformation of physical pain into wholeness. The bone marrow is the engine of this transformation, and the unfruitful fig tree serves as a powerful reminder that we must actively identify and eliminate anything – physical, emotional, or behavioral – that hinders our inherent capacity to regenerate. The Lord is not a distant observer of our pain. He is the Churner. His presence, which I felt so tangibly, is actively involved in our healing and wellness. Sometimes healing is a process, not a snap. He’s showing me the rhythmic, patient, and sustained effort involved in His method. My part is to participate – to bring my willingness, my obedience, my release of fear, and my faith to the churning. He labors for our benefit. The product of His churning will be good – that pure, yummy butter of new life and wholeness. The pain needs active separation and release; its unproductive elements, like the buttermilk, must be broken down and released. He's cultivating butter, new life, and wholeness. This incredible encounter was our reward for taking last week’s homework seriously, for sitting at His feet like Mary. He personally showed me the process of healing, just as He personally showed Mary the raising of Lazarus because of her devoted time with Him. Let's continue to have communion with Him daily, consuming His body broken for us, cleansed of sin. In the new covenant, we have the ability to truly know Him. I bless you, dear ones. Meditate on Him being the Churner, actively pursuing your healing. He's doing something, and you can trust and believe in Him. Come say hi to me on social media, Instagram, Facebook, comment, ask questions – this is a community, a family. I love you a lot, and I'll talk to you again next week!
