Overview of Chapter One: Introduction to Indulgences In the first chapter of "The Unfinished Book," Kristen Wambach introduces readers to the concept of indulgences, a term rich in historical and spiritual significance. She begins by defining what indulgences are, providing both a historical context and a modern interpretation that resonates with contemporary readers. Wambach shares personal anecdotes that illustrate her journey with indulgences, offering a relatable and heartfelt entry point into the topic. These stories not only highlight the transformative power of indulgences in her own life but also aim to inspire readers to reflect on their own experiences. The chapter delves into the biblical and theological foundations of indulgences, citing relevant scripture and theological interpretations. This grounding in religious texts helps readers understand the spiritual importance of indulgences and their application in everyday life. To make the concept accessible and actionable, Wambach includes practical exercises and reflection questions. These are designed to help readers engage with the material on a deeper level, encouraging them to incorporate indulgences into their spiritual practices. Key themes in this chapter include spiritual growth, grace, forgiveness, and the importance of community. Wambach emphasizes that indulgences are not just about personal piety but also about fostering understanding and support within a community. The chapter concludes with a recap of the main points and a preview of what is to come in the rest of the book. Wambach encourages readers to continue exploring and embracing the practice of indulgences as they move forward on their spiritual journey. Kristen's favorite encounter within Chapter 1Heaven is a fascinating place, a place of generous permission. That is what my spirit perceives, permissions far beyond the imagination. My spirit-eyes seem to hone in on what I was meant to seek. I see a sword hanging on the wall. Heaven is alive, so your perception “feels” and communicates emotions via your spirit, bubbling over with real touch-impressions to your body. Secretly fixated on the sword, I can feel might, value and an extraordinary history I’d love to hear from its former handlers. It’s an awe moment for sure. Easy to be overwhelmed in a good sense from this glorious place. Experience knees are wobbly, so I ask Melchizedek for his wisdom and help to guide me for what I am going to need. Changing your DNA from lack to abundance requires lots of capable tutors. Amen! He smiled at me, and both our eyes were drawn back like a magnet to the sword on the wall. Well forged steel, simple design, balanced handle with turned grips and a single narrow leather strip tied around its neck. Heaven is listening: conversations; my conversation is heard and spoken from the heart, through lips never moving as my spirit is moving toward the sword for a closer look. With my questions spoken in thought: “What’s the significance of the leather straps?” I asked Melchizedek. My answer arrived in no time? “The strap is a portion of David’s leather slingshot.” Well that takes your breath away now doesn’t it? My next question of its ownership arose with a surprising audaciousness, not that I needed the sword, but may I have it? His/Melchezidek’s response was humbling: “Nobody else has come to get it...” Selah. My journal notes say: what an odd statement Sir King of Salem. When I said this to him, he held out his left hand to me and in it was a small round ancient pure gold snuff or pill box, the size of a fifty-cent-piece, fitting petite-lay in the palm of his hand. My first impressions feel like there is gold dust inside? He smiled at me as we exchanged gifts, I gestured forward and covered both our hands with my left hand to hug-hand-shake the exchange. Thank you. I put the mighty sword on my back and thanked him for the golden box. It feels like a personal gift. I must have been twenty inches taller than when I came in. A remnant of greatness (the sword) hung on my back, my clothes mysteriously transformed in the exchange as I walked out with a new suit of armor and a personal treasure in my hand. Wambach, Kristen. Scripture Treasure Chest1 Corinthians 15: 51-54 Passion - Listen, and I will tell you a divine mystery: not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed. It will happen in an instant —in the twinkling of his eye. For when the last trumpet is sounded, the dead will come back to life. We will be indestructible and we will be transformed. For we will discard our mortal “clothes” and slip into a body that is imperishable. What is mortal now will be exchanged for immortality. And when that which is mortal puts on immortality, and what now decays is exchanged for what will never decay, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says: Death is swallowed up by a triumphant victory! His body nailed to the cross hung there as the document of mankind’s guilt; in dying our death he cancelled the detailed hand-written record which testified against us. Every stain on our conscience, reminding of the sense of failure and guilt, was thus fully blotted out. Colossians 2: 14 Mirror Everything that grace pointed to is now realized in Jesus Christ and brought into clear view through the gospel: Jesus is what grace reveals. He took death out of the equation and re-defines life; this is good news indeed. 2 Timothy 1:10 Mirror Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”—Jalal al-Din Rumi

b. Why the "puppy dog?" Dash has a re-occuring staff infection. She is allergic to the natural staff that is on her body and it causes her to itch, incessantly. True confession to you and that fly on the wall, drives me nuts when I am moving fast or have to many things on my plate. Keeps me on my knees for complete healing for my darling pooch. We have come a very long way from open sores and tears.
All Creation groans for the sons of God to be revealed... So creation will be relieved from "itching". My Grandmother always told me to never ask for patience... I have held my tongue. God? Staff infections, you are dismissed! Much love viaK
