Course of Miracles Thanks for joining me today. It's such a pleasure to connect and share insights with you. Recently, I had a fascinating chat with a guest in Austria, highlighting how diverse our worldly perspectives can be. We dove into a topic close to my heart: educating children, especially those sensitive to the spiritual realm. Often, parents might not recognize their child's spiritual awareness or may not have developed their own. This can lead to misunderstanding or dismissing a child’s spiritual experiences. My guest and I, from different backgrounds—one oracular, one contemplative—sought ways parents can nurture their children’s spiritual gifts, helping them thrive. A key point was taking children seriously when they share seemingly fantastical experiences. In a world full of imagined constructs, dismissing such experiences can stifle spiritual growth. Instead, we should honor their perceptions as real and meaningful. For example, if a child wakes up scared of a monster under the bed, we might dismiss it as a bad dream. But acknowledging their fear and asking them to describe it opens a dialog that respects their experience. This approach validates the child and strengthens the parent-child bond, creating a space where the child feels heard and understood. By embracing and exploring these experiences, we can foster environments that encourage the development of spiritual gifts. Listening to their stories helps us relate to universal experiences, not so different from our own. Through this, we grow and learn together. Books every Parent should read to educate themselves about the spirit. The Seer by James W. Goll: very dear to my heart. The first book I read that affirmed (I'm not Crazy) what the Lord was continuously showing me was biblically real! Highly Recommend for scriptural proof. The Veil by Blake Healy: a profound child Seer, his story is riveting. Highly Recommend. The UnFinished Book by yours truly: a journey into heaven... A must read, especially to prepare you for my next book. OMG Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” ~ William Butler Yeats Live Recording Let's revisit our earlier conversation about parents supporting each other in nurturing their children's spiritual perceptions rather than stifling them. It's essential to approach this with patience. If we react with anger or hurry when we don't understand what our children are expressing, we risk shutting them down. This mirrors my own experience when silence from my mom stifled communication. Children might seek others to share their thoughts with, and it's important to be the person they feel comfortable communicating with. This might require a shift in mindset. I'm thrilled by the depth of our discussion today, full of valuable insights. I'll definitely revisit it. Today, we discussed the importance of listening, breathing, and respecting our shared experiences. Being aware of how we interact with these experiences helps us better honor and understand the communication, whether it's pictorial, emotional, or another form of expression. It's important for us as parents to become fluent in this language, as it's a part of our own communication too. I’d like to conclude with a prayer, asking for guidance in unpacking our discussions on listening, breathing, and honoring communication. Let the love of God and life shine through us, recognizing each other as that light and love. Amen. Thank you for joining us and sharing your thoughts and hearts. Your contribution is deeply appreciated. BINGE LISTEN
For a small child there is no division between playing and learning; between the things he or she does ‘just for fun’ and things that are ‘educational.’ The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play.” ~ Penelope Leach
