Unlocking the Seen and Unseen: Keys to Living in the MomentHello and welcome! It is Thursday, and I'm so excited to share this episode with you: "Keys to Live in the Moment, Seen and Unseen." Moments are like the air that fills a room, and the people breathing the same air. This past week, I encountered a lovely, feel-good mystical moment – the kind where the Lord showed me an "aha!" Prior to that, I had been holding an encounter in my heart for a personal need. When He spoke to me, I didn't understand His words, His imagery, or His thought process. I kind of went, "Huh?" So, I held that encounter. I held His words in my heart with a big question, saying, "Huh? Speak to me, Lord, huh? I don't understand. I know You gave me an answer, but I don't understand." Has that ever happened to you? We are going to have such a good time today. In this episode, I'm going to discuss the first of three of the seven keys to living in the moment. And yes, we talk about the seen – the practical, you and I here now – and we talk about the unseen, the mystical, and the things that we don't always understand. (That's my dog snoring in the background, by the way! He's part of this broadcast and just made me smile.) Each of the keys opens a different portion to the "aha!" Sometimes explaining that can be challenging, but Holy Spirit is going to help me. This is a really important part: the Father and I, our desire, is to release what we, Trinity and I, together, release the "aha!" in your own language between you and God. Not from my perspective and my library of language, but from yours. Is that possible? Absolutely. The moment I'm talking about, it is recorded in time from the unseen to the seen. So you and I are talking about the open door, the sound, or the frequency, and that brings us to a realm on the earth. Its first origin is in Him, and we are in Him. I'm going to talk a lot about being "in Him" today—our oneness. Ooh, it's so good! So I'm inviting you – this is your assignment, your task – to put on the table during this episode, to lay your "I need to hear from You, God, I don't understand," lay your request on the table before the Lord. And while it's laying there, marinating in the love and the frequency and what we are talking about today, I know that you will hear. That is my heart's desire for you to hear. Habakkuk 2:3: Wait for It, It Will Not Delay Let me share this with you from Habakkuk 2:3. We all know it:
Amen. As Emily Dixon said, "Forever is composed of now." We're talking today about living in the moment, living in the present. Revelation 5:8-9: The Hour of Incense So in Revelation 5:8-9, from The Mirror and some of my added inflections, it shares that same thought about marking and completing time in our understanding:
You are the only one in the universe entitled to open the scroll and break its seals. We witnessed Your sacrifice, and in Your blood, You've redeemed mankind's authentic identity in God. You purchased my freedom. You bought back my innocence. You were slain as the penalty of my guilt. You were crucified wearing my shame. You rescued me. You rescued us from everything that society could possibly define us in or as. Everything that we could possibly label ourselves as. You brought us out of the confines of our dwarfed mindset. You brought us out of the confines of every limiting belief system spoken to us, about us in our own words, or the words of others. Every spectrum of people groupings, our tribal identities, our language-specific dialect preferences, our political and religious associations, as well as every form of racial identity—I call that "all"—and You have made us unto and for Yourself. You returned us as a realm of royalty to reign upon the earth as priests. And this is our proclamation of Your excellent worth. You have caused me, You have caused us, to remember who we are, who I am, and whose I am. Embrace the present. Live in the moment. To live in the present means to let go of the past and not fret about the future. It’s about cherishing the current moment and making the most of today. I have some more secrets in this for you. Write it on your heart that "every day is the best day in the year." – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Every day is the best day in the year. Smile and laugh. Choose your words. Choose what you listen to. Choose who you listen to. Choose the moments that take your breath away. Choose to govern your day. I'd like to draw your attention again to the "aha!" moment in question. I gave you an assignment during this episode, between you and Holy Spirit, to lay a "huh" moment—something not understood—to lay it on the table, the desire and the purpose in your heart. Did you lay it there? Remember, the Father's and my desire is to release what we, Trinity, experience together, but release it in your own language, in your own library of thoughts between you and God, between what I experienced. And now I can say I've experienced it twice. It's multiplied. It's lingering in the air and lingering in our hearts. And I thank you, God, for touching my friend and listener in a language of their own. I look forward to hearing their story. In Jesus' Name. Breathe in. Breathe out. It is extremely warm. Good stuff. Thank you, Jesus. Key 2: Clarity Now vs. TomorrowNow vs. Tomorrow, from 1 Corinthians 13:12:
I gaze face to face that I may know me, I gaze at Him to know me as I have always been known. I'll repeat that from the New Living Translation:
"Jesus lived in His moment so we could live in ours." - Kristen Wambach Governing our race, reiterating our proclamation of His excellence and His worth. It clears the day. Clarity. When you walk through His sacrifice, you walk through His reflection, through His face. "Happiness, not in another place, but this place, not for another hour, but for this hour." – Walt Whitman. When I look into His face, experience His face in all the different and unique ways He shows me Him – and they are unique, and different, and weird! (I love weird!) – it clarifies today. It clarifies the now. It clarifies the living in this moment, in this. But it also lights the flame that burns into tomorrow. Hebrews 12:2: The Joy Set Before Him We dive deep into what Jesus said for the joy set before Him, before me. We're making it personal here.
Let's say it again from The Mirror:
Let's unpack that: He sat down with us in Him. He sat down with us in Him. He could see you and I today. The joy of today gave Him the strength to brave the cross because of today, this moment, this breath in the present, in the now. Jesus lived His moment so we could live in ours. And that brought Him joy. It clarifies today, the now, the living in the moment, but it lights a flame that burns into tomorrow. And I'm impassioned with that conquering spirit, a spirit that says, "Yes, I can. I am clear about His love for me. And with that love, I can face anything, accomplish anything, and walk through anything and get to the other side." BINGE LISTEN
Key 3: Focus Future, Closing Past I can feel the soapbox coming out. One of my favorite and endearing parts of the Tabernacle is the laver. In the tabernacle, the temple is us. But the laver... think I'm going to blend this story, my favorite parts, our third and our final key for this episode, part one. Focus Future, Closing Past. And I love the graphic that I put in the show notes on this particular one. If you're driving or let's put us in the passenger seat, you're riding in the passenger seat and you look in the side mirror that's to the right. You look in, well again, if you live in a country that you're driving on the other side, it could be on the left, but you're looking in the side view mirror. You're looking behind yourself, but you're going forward. Focus future, close the past. "Living in the moment means letting go of the past and not waiting for the future. It means living your life consciously, aware that each moment you breathe is a gift." – Oprah Winfrey. Exodus 27:17 & 38: The Bronze BasinBack to the laver, the bronze basin. I love this from Exodus 27:17:
"I am one of the mirrors reflecting him." - Kristen Wambach Exodus 38: Next, the craftsman made the bronze basin and its stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting. They brought their mirrors to be added and made the bronze basin, the laver that held the water, their mirrors. In Exodus 40:30, Moses is responding:
Focus future, close past. Remember that side view mirror? Let me share with you a perspective about the mirrors. We walk through His flesh. We walk through His tabernacle. Those journeys of prayer and inner healing are the journeys He walks with us to bring us out of the death that He completed for us. A journey that we can describe and tell a story and bear witness. That is why we encounter it. We encounter His death on our behalf. For years, I looked into the mirrors of the tabernacle in prayer and meditation, and I allowed Him to bathe me with His healing waters, with His reflection, His light. I looked into the mirrors and I say reflection with His face looking back at me. I see His face looking back at me. Final Thoughts: Living in the moment isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about recognizing that Jesus lived His moment so you could live yours—fully, joyfully, and with purpose. So, breathe in. Breathe out. Untie today’s ribbon and discover the sacred gift within. You will need a copy of the UnFinished Book to hear the entire story on this question: In a nutshell, the one lesson... a rebuke from a Pastor. OMG! That correction, tho not warranted and bubbling from his personal insecurities, opened the door to a prophetic culture and community. It didn't feel good and was very hard to chew on, my husband Don was furious! But it closed the door and opened another! For this I am very grateful.
