You are never too old to set a new goal or to dream a new dream."—C.S. Lewis Practical Tools 🧰BREATH 1. Take any moment: Turn aside and capture your thoughts, or while laying in bed; Through your nose ~ Breathe in God's breathe; imagine that breathe moving through your body, direct that breathe similar to turning on the flow of a hose. Envision His breathe moving in you, the "faucet" is open, take the head of the hose and point it, lay it on specific areas of the body that need healing. Feel the "flow" moving up and down through your body. a. Take that same "hose of breathe" and in your minds eye, direct it over a loved one. See the "breathe of His name YH (inhale) WH (exhale.) BREATH inhale ~ RELEASE exhale... see leaving your body whatever Jesus highlights to release! Breath - in - God's Breathe Release the work of God's Breathe - out -
When I was a little Girl my grandma gave me a small faded pink flesh color plaster sign, about the length of a forearm, it looked like a scroll of paper. On the brittle sign was the verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:4-5 the rest of the passage is equally wise. Growing up on a ninety two acre farm in Independence Or. My upstairs bedroom was nestled on the north-side of our craftsman farmhouse . That plaster sign hung on the wall of my room, just above the headboard of my bed. Today it hangs on the headboard of my heart. TRUST in the work of His, Son!
Jesus Christ is always trustworthy as the Son of God and high priest, active in creation, offering salvation, authoring redemption, restoration and wholeness and reigning in heaven. b. Set aside a quiet place: meaning quiet of mind! Driving to work, taking a walk, anywhere you can offer Him your undivided attention. Having elements on hand is always optional, take communion in the spirit and allow Jesus to set the table with the elements He chooses. And when the occasion arises, set a table with "real elements." A great way to prepare the heart: Episode 169 a Tool to UnLock His Presence Wording suggestions: "Lord I honor Your work on the cross, Your sacrifice is a Life gift for me. I humble myself before You and treasure this meal as if it is the first time I have tasted it. Today I eat from the bread of TRUST and drink of your sacrifice, broken and bruised for my healing and wholeness, Death, Sickness and Decay you are dismissed. I receive the nourishment that provides and sustains Life. Lord, remind me how close You are to me, and how close I am to you. I give you praise, Thank you. I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees." —Henry David Thoreau BINGE LISTEN with communion focus
If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete."—Jack Kornfield Scripture Treasury
My favorite "No Lyrics" soaking music, with a little toe-tapping.
Depends on WHO is doing the answering. God, me and what I know about myself, the doctrines of the church. The odd things that have occurred in the "prophetic world." If you're leading, dominate, bent to the prophetic, people will assume or even label you with "Prophet." Nope, that is my redemptive gift, not office. My natural nature is geared more to Apostolic, clearing new ground as an architect like God. You could say I am similar to Joshua and Caleb in the story of the 10 spies. Oh that we would "crossover" and follow Christ where He is seated, ruling and reigning. I can't tell you how many times Don and I would attend a leadership conference, you would sign up for prophetic ministry and Don would receive my word. The church mindset assumes leader/pastor/male. Don gracious that he is, would point to me and say, nope she is the Pastor and joke that "he was the Pastor's Wife." I do believe that once a person steps through the veil and there transformation begins "Heaven-side" we grow spiritually into all the gifts just like Jesus. Our focus, Fully mature sons. If you have a gift/office/title the purpose of the gift is sharing and showing others how to function in it. We already have had our ah-ha moment about making any individual a middleman. Like I always say: go ask Jesus. PERSONALLY! But that doesn’t mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift. The text for this is, He climbed the high mountain, He captured the enemy and seized the plunder, He handed it all out in gifts to the people. Is it not true that the One who climbed up also climbed down, down to the valley of earth? And the One who climbed down is the One who climbed back up, up to highest heaven. He handed out gifts above and below, filled heaven with his gifts, filled earth with his gifts. He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ. Ephesians 4: 7-13 MSG (Couriers, communicators, counsellors and coaches. — Rob Lacey.)4:7 The gift of Christ measures the extravagant dimensions of grace; where everyone is equally advantaged. (One measure, one worth. Our individual value is defined by his gift; not by our performance.) 4:8 Scripture confirms that he arrested every possible threat that held mankind hostage. ["he took captivity captive"] And in his resurrection, he led us as trophies in his triumphant procession on high. Consider the genius of God, in the incarnate Christ, he repossessed what belonged to us by design, in human form; this is his grace-gift to us. 4:9 The fact that he ascended confirms his victorious descent into the deepest pits of human despair. 4:10 He now occupies the ultimate rank of authority, from the lowest regions of our darkness into which he reached in order to rescue us, to the highest authority in the heavens, having executed his mission to the full. 4:11 What God has in us, is gift wrapped to the world: some are commissioned to pioneer, others are gifted prophetically, some as announcers of good news, some as shepherds with a real gift to care and nurture, and others have a gift to ignite instruction through revelation knowledge. (Couriers, communicators, counsellors and coaches. — Rob Lacey.) 4:12 Each expression of his gift is to fully equip and enable you for the work of the ministry so that you may mutually contribute in your specific function to give definition to the visible body of Christ. 4:13 The purpose of these ministry gifts is to present everyone on par and in oneness of faith; believing exactly what the Son of God believes and knowing accurately what he knows concerning us. Standing face-to-face in equal stature to the measure of the completeness of Christ. du Toit, Francois. Mirror Study Bible Ephesians 4 Every morning you have two choices.
