Live consistent with who you really are, inspired by the loving kindness of God. My brothers, the most practical expression of worship is to make your bodies available to him as a living sacrifice; this pleases him more than any religious routine. He desires to find visible, individual expression in your person. Romans 12: 1 & 2 Mirror
![]() Hey there, curious souls, I’m honored to introduce Interviewing Jesus Podcast listeners to a remarkable individual, Charif Kaiss, whose life turned challenges into opportunities for growth and service. Imagine standing on the edge of a cliff, wind whipping around you, heart racing with the thrill of the unknown. That's kind of what Charif faced when he looked cancer in the eye—and won. You see, it wasn't just about battling a disease. It was about awakening to an inner strength that many of us don't even know we possess. Charif took that experience and transformed it into a foundation dedicated to helping others find their own courage. It's as if he found a hidden well of confidence within him, and he wants to share it with the world. Awareness is his key. It's like turning on a light in a dark room, allowing you to see things clearly for the first time. Once Charif understood what he was truly up against—not just cancer, but the fear it bred—he could face it head-on. And isn't that something we all need? To strip away the shadows of doubt and see our fears for what they truly are? By tuning into this awareness, Charif discovered that confidence isn't just about being bold or fearless. It's about understanding and facing your fears, learning from them, and using them as stepping stones to build a life of purpose and resilience. Each of us has that potential. So, let's walk this path together, embracing our fears and transforming them into fuel for our journey. Because when you illuminate your awareness, you ignite your confidence. It’s truly a journey of Living Spiritually Brave. I’ll see you on the inside. Connect with Charif Kaiss |

Would you share with our listeners? How are you and I connected? We are at different ends of the world; I'm in Oregon, Oregon, Oregon. We were both enrolled in Rob's program. We had the whole session with one of the psychologists who was guiding us throughout the program. At the end of it, they put us on Zoom calls with anonymous people randomly, and I was happy to see this vibrant, beautiful woman behind the screen smiling and saying hello. What's your name? My name is Christian. Where do you come from? What do you want to talk about today? Let's meet, let's discover! We had the whole exercise to do, but we didn't do any of the exercises because we were so busy getting to know each other. That's how inspiring that first encounter was. Most things about spirituality, as I remember, involved all of us and spiritual things. Yes, that was so fun. Things are meant to be, and things are meant to happen. At the time when I met you, I was discovering my self-worth more. I was getting to know Jesus on a deeper level. I was 25 or 26 at the time, and I wanted to know more. And suddenly, I met you. Christian, you were very much into spirituality. You were flying further and further away from me, and it was exactly what I needed to understand what I was looking for. You helped me throughout this journey as well. I'd love to find out more about you since we have this wonderful opportunity.
What is one of your favorite childhood stories? One of my fondest memories dates back to when I was five years old. It was a weekend, and my dad and I went to the mall. As we strolled between the stores, we came across a mega store. This was about 25 years ago, and back then, we didn't have streaming services; instead, there were cassettes. I spotted a beautiful cassette featuring the story of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and I desperately wanted to watch it.
My dad allowed me to wander around the store while he browsed items that caught his interest. When I approached him to ask if he could buy me the cassette, he declined, saying it was too expensive. To be honest, it was around 20 bucks at the time, and I insisted that I had many at home and that they were worthless. I felt so upset, unable to accept that I wouldn't get to enjoy Mickey and Minnie in the comfort of my own home.
So, I devised a plan to convince my dad to buy the cassette. I cleverly hid it under my shirt, feeling like a naughty little boy, and attempted to walk out of the store. I thought that once we got home, I could enjoy the cassette without needing my dad's permission. However, I didn't realize that the store had an alarm system.
As I approached the exit, I noticed a security guard chatting with a nice lady, who didn’t pay attention to me. I thought I could slip out unnoticed. But as soon as I walked past the exit, the alarm began to blare. I turned to see the security guard looking straight at me, and in that moment, I knew I had to run.
I took off, and as I was sprinting, I caught sight of my dad in the distance, wondering where I had gone. Unfortunately, he soon realized what was happening and brought me back to the store. He was embarrassed to discover that his five-year-old son had tried to steal something.
I recently remembered this story and can't help but laugh at how I managed to pull something like that off at such a young age. That was the only time in my life I attempted to steal, and although I didn't succeed, the thought of it still makes me chuckle.

Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." —Dale Carnegie
