Part 1 Part 2
Welcome back, everyone! Thank you for joining us as we delve into meaningful discussions with Jesus, exploring the depths of our connection to the Father. Your time here is truly appreciated as we embark on this journey together. Let's set a clear boundary today. Can we agree on that? I firmly believe that healing applies universally to all situations and conditions – sickness and disease never originate from God, and He does not test us through illness. There is no darkness in Him, period. This provision is an expression of God's love for all of us. Drawing from John's quote, when a Christian steps out of God's realm into the enemy's territory, we belong in the realm of miracles and the supernatural. Amen. One of my favorite scriptures that addresses every question is Romans 8:37-39, affirming that our triumph is certain in the midst of challenges. His love elevates us beyond the reach of any attack. This is my belief – no threat, whether death or life, celestial beings, demonic forces, political powers, or any unknown element in time or space, has the power to separate us from God's love revealed through Jesus Christ. We are prepared and excited! Have you ever experienced this scenario? While going about your day – at the grocery store, getting gas, or waiting at a stoplight – you notice people who remind you of someone. It's like a repeated pattern. You might be shopping and suddenly see a lady who bears a striking resemblance to someone you know, from her appearance to her mannerisms. At times, you might even believe it's that exact person. Has this ever happened to you? These encounters could be prompting you to reconnect with them if they are still alive. It could be a nudge from Holy Spirit, signaling that they might need your prayers or intercession. Don't hesitate to reach out to them. Reflect on why a certain aspect of that person's life is being highlighted – whether it's their role as a teacher, a close friend, or a former pastor. Seek guidance from the Lord on why that particular season is being brought to your attention. It could be for encouragement, healing, or simply to remember. However, if the person you keep seeing has passed away and is now in heaven, it shifts the perspective. This reflection leads us to this week's question: What if we could interview (this person) from the cloud of witnesses? Amen. WHOSE WHO IN THE CLOUD OF WITNESSESJesus, the Example Hebrew 12:1 Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. from the Mirror 12:1 So now the stage is set for us: all these faith-heroes cheer us on; they are the 1cloud of witnesses; as it were, like a great multitude of spectators in the amphitheater. This is our moment. As with an athlete who is determined to win, it would be silly to carry any baggage of the old law-system that would weigh one down. Make sure you do not get your feet clogged up with sin-consciousness. Become absolutely streamlined in faith. Run the race of your spiritual life with total persuasion. Matthew 17:1–8; Mark 9:2–8; Luke 9:28–36 Matthew 17:1–8The Transfiguration And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.” And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified. And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only. Read Full Chapter Luke 9:28–36The Transfiguration Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white. And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him. And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said. As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!” And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen. Luke 9:27 Mirror The Kingdom of God is not a future event beyond your reach. You don’t have to wait till you’re dead to see it; some of you standing here are about to dramatically witnesses what I am talking about. 9:28 The following week, this conversation was endorsed when Jesus took Peter, John and Jacob [James] with him and ascended the mountain to pray. And while he was praying his appearance was spectacularly changed by the radiance of God’s splendor bursting through his skin; his face and even his clothes became dazzling white like light. 9:30 Look. Both Moses and Elijah were there with him and talking to him. GOOGLE SEARCH RESULTS
John 14:12 provides some insight into this profound truth: "Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things." This suggests that the Father is as present in you as He is in me. Let's bring this into the present day – you and I are here, and Jesus Christ is in the mystical realm of the kingdom of heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. He affirms that the Father is as present in you as He is in me. Now, let's delve into the rest of our story and uncover the mystery. What wisdom will they (the Cloud of Witnesses) share, and where will this journey take us? Join me on this adventure; I'll see you on the inside. Some people grow up feeling terrified of Communion. Not so much because of the “eat my flesh and drink my blood” part (see John 6:56), but more often because of what it says in First Corinthians 11:27, “Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord” (NASB). I was talking to a friend recently who said that when she was young, she would frantically search her memory for every sin she could have committed in the last month. She would confess anything and everything, thinking that if she missed something, she might die right there on the wooden pew. Every month held a renewed sense of terror as she reached for the bread and juice. This is not how it’s supposed to be. It’s funny to talk about now that she’s an adult, but experiencing the sacrament of Communion is not something that should terrify our children. Communion is a powerful way to encounter the Lord, and we get to invite them into that with expectation. Seth Dahl, co-author of Win-Win Parenting, led Bethel’s Children’s Ministry for seven years. He does a brilliant job of empowering children to have their own God encounters. Children do not have a junior Holy Spirit. On the contrary, they often have an easier time connecting with the presence of the Lord because they don’t have years of “stuff ” to unlearn. When leaders come into our environment needing a prophetic word, we will often ask the kids to minister to them. Their purity, fearlessness and lack of religion seem to allow them to hear God’s voice in a way that often leaves their audiences profoundly moved. As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. Hebrews 12:1 Passion There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama & the people who create it & surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but Happy. —Beni Johnson The Happy Intercessor
